The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with a rustic charm that complements the hearty, homemade style of the cuisine.
Adding to the unique experience, the camp’s on-site zoo offers a delightful distraction for children and curious adults alike. Before your meal or while waiting for your table (which fills up quickly, so arriving early is a must, as many reviews advise), you can stroll the grounds and feed the resident peacocks — in a dazzling array of regular, white, and brown hues — as well as ducks, goats, donkeys, and turtles. This rustic farmyard vibe makes waiting feel like part of the fun, not a chore.
Customers rave not only about the hearty portions — ensuring excellent value with every meal — but also the unique combination of great seafood and charming outdoor ambiance. As Rhonda Allen put it, the food is so delicious it’s worth savoring again even as leftovers. Stephanie Davis appreciates the seamless experience from early arrival to attentive service, while Ebony Renee highlights the exceptional grits and the memorable catfish stew.

This Seafood restaurant was great! Food was delicious, even after I warmed my leftovers the following day. Grits and hush puppies served prior to your meal, delicious!! We got the combo platter for $65 and it was worth it. The Staff were very nice and friendly! We loved the food, service and atmosphere. All I can tell you is get there extra early if you want to get in right away. We arrived at 4p, and it was an hour and fifteen minute wait. (worth the wait) The ducks, goats and beautiful peacocks outside made the wait enjoyable. The only negative is the restroom was extremely small. Only 2 stalls in the ladies room and not much wiggle room between stall and sink. I highly recommend this restaurant and I can't wait to go back. We will definitely be back and will be recommending this restaurant to friends and family!!
We headed to this restaurant ahead of opening to put our name in for a table. The hostess is super sweet and will ask you to confirm that your whole party is there. She will use your cell phone to text when your table is ready. In the meantime, you can get some feed for the peacocks, geese, ducks, goats, and donkeys. We had the best waitress, Valerie B! She was so attentive, answered all of our questions about the menu, took special care to bring out dairy-free grits for one of us, and kept our tea refilled. We were duly impressed with her service. For starters, their creamy grits were perfectly seasoned, and their hushpuppies are so tender. We all were so happy with our meals. Portions are huge, so everyone left with to-go boxes. This restaurant has become our go-to place to bring our out-of-town family. Everyone absolutely loves it. All the staff are wonderful.
Family Friendly seafood spot that's definitely a good place to eat and good bang for your buck. Some of the best grits I've ever had outside of having them at home. They definitely give you plenty of food, so you get your money worth. Ohhhh....that catfish Stew is definitely worth the try. It's quirky and good, not sure how else to describe it. Enjoy my experience and food!
Wonderful place get here early. They fill up quick. Friendly servers fast service delicious food. There’s even animals to keep the kids entertained while you wait. There’s ducks, goats, peacocks (regular ones white ones and brown ones!!) turtles, and donkeys! It’s great! This is the second time in a week we’ve cold
My family has been trying to get me to eat here for years, but because they are an hour from my house, I never went. I finally got to go yesterday for the first time with my sister, and it did not disappoint. First, I agree unless you don't mind waiting, get there early. We got there an hour before they opened, and there were people already there waiting. You can give them your name, and they will text you when your table is ready. That allows you to walk around and look at the animals. We enjoyed watching the peacocks, ducks, and geese. We fed them a handful of food. There are also donkeys and goats. It was a pleasant day with a good breeze, so we sat outside on the porch. There is a good bit of seating there. The property is very well maintained . The inside of the restaurant is kind of rustic. Typical fish camp atmosphere. You are served some of the best grits I've eaten in a long time and a basket of Hush Puppies once you're seated. Our waitress was very nice. She came back several times to check on us. The food, well, all I can say was everything looked good. It was hard to decide. We both had the crab stuffed flounder, fries, and Cole Slaw. It didn't disappoint. OMG. So good. I do wish they were closer. I would probably go a couple of times a month. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
We had an amazing time last evening. Friendly and inviting atmosphere! The food as always was excellent. Four cousins enjoyed. We had one cousin visiting from Michigan, she was truly thankful for the awesome service rendered. We loved the animals . Especially the white peacock, he took the show as well as our attention. Our waitress gave optimal service. Thanks again! Debra, Hazel, Doris, and Sandy!
First off, my first time coming here, I was so excited to see the farm animals that we could reach out to and feed. The outside is just so peaceful and relaxing as soon as you pull up. The workers there are so nice and sweet. The food is pretty good, it comes with unlimited hush puppies and grits.
The food was very good and the staff was so nice. I made a blunder when giving my number for our seating and the hostess was so nice. My family and I will be going back. The animals outside were very fun to watch while waiting for our table. And there is a waiting area inside as well.
